The feed mixtures group included many formulations of pig diets including commercial diets and balanced diets formulated for use in different experiments (Just, 1982a; Just et al., 1983a, 1983d, 1985; Fernandez et al., 1986). Each group was randomly divided into a calibration and validation set with an 80:20 split.
