Immunoproteasomes: Structure, function, and antigen presentation
2012, Progress in Molecular Biology and Translational ScienceCitation Excerpt :The promoter also contains additional binding sites for transcription factors, including 10 GC-rich regions, two cAMP responsive elements, two AP-2 elements, four Egr response elements, and three regions of consensus sequence for NF-κB binding.21,26 Transcription factors that have been associated with LMP2 regulation include NF-κB, Sp1, AP-1, cAMP responsive element binding protein (CREB), and, more recently, Zif268, also known as Egr1.21,23,26 Both LMP2 and LMP7 were recently identified as target genes for Zif268, which suppresses transcription of these genes.
