Abstract

Measurements of (p, ϱ, T) have been made on c-C6H12 and on (0.501c-C6H12 + 0.499n-C7H16) as a function of temperature (from 295 to 355 K) and pressures up to 100 MPa by means of a magnetic-suspension method. Excess molar volumes have also been derived and their qualitative behaviour is discussed.

The experimental results of 11 further author groups were considered, but not selected for comparison because of wide scatter, systematic deviations, a small number of measured points, or measurements only at p ≈ 0.1 MPa; these references are listed by Sommer [22]. The results of Kerimov and Apaev [27] and of Toscani et al. [28] show systematic deviations from the measurements of this work or scatter around them by up to ±0.2%, and several of their values deviate by up to 0.3%. ( The values exceeding 0.2% are plotted on the plot frame.)
