Abstract

The series of four TZ = −52 nuclei, 23Si,27S, 31Ar and 35Ca, predicted to be bound or nearly bound against one- or two-proton emission is observed. The experimental evidence comes from direct identification of the magnetically separated products from interactions of 77 MeVu40Ca projectiles with a nickel target.
