Magnetic study of fine and ultrafine particles of amorphous Nd-Fe-B oxides

Abstract

Nd-Fe-B oxides have been obtained by chemical reaction in solution. Using Mössbauer spectroscopy and magnetic measurements we have observed the existence of several iron based phases and an order-disorder magnetic transition in the temperature range 25 K < T < 30 K. The magnetic data were fitted assuming a superposition of superparamagnetic and ferromagnetic phases.
