Abstract

A laser two-focus (L2F) velocimeter is used to evaluate particle velocities in a low pressure plasma jet with fixed parameters. The particle velocities are simulated by numerical computation and are related to particle diameter and density by using the drag equation. The solutions are checked and found to be in good agreement with experimentally observed velocity fields.
