Abstract

Low temperature magnetoresistances of high-Tc compound film of GdBa2Cu3Oy(y<6.5) have been measured down to 0.3 K at magnetic fields up to 8 T. Near 2.3 K a small change has been observed in the slope of the low temperature resistance at 0 T. Comparing it with previous results, it is found that the change in the slope corresponds to the antiferromagnetic order of Gd spins in this compound. The sign of carrier has been determined to be positive from the Hall voltage measurement. These are clear examples in which magnetism of Gd is clearly reflected in the hole conduction.
