Abstract

By reaction of dicobaltoctacarbonyl with dicyclopentadienyltitaniumdichloride a novel derivative of the methylidynetricobaltnonacarbonyl cluster compounds (CO)9Co3CY could be prepared [Y = OTi(Cl)(C5H5)2]. The structure was determined by means of three dimensional X-ray diffraction data: space group P21n;a = 13.532(6), b = 22.939(10), c = 7.760(8) »; β = 90.67(4)°; Z = 4; R= 0.103. The molecule consists of the tetrahedral cluster (CO)9Co3C and the chloro-bis(cyclopentadienyl)titanoxy-group. The distances and angles at the titanium atom are almost unchanged compared with the starting compound (C5H5)2 TiCl2

Zusammenfassung

Durch Reaktion von Dikobaltoktacarbonyl mit Dicyclopentadienyltitandichlorid konnte ein neuartiges Derivat der Methylidin-trikobaltnonacarbonylClusterverbindungen (CO)9Co3CY dargestellt werden [Y = OTi(Cl)(C5H5)2]. Die Struktur wurde mittels dreidimensionaler Röntgenbeugungsdaten gelöst: Raumgruppe P21n;a = 13.532(6), b = 22.939(10), c = 7.760(8) »; β = 90.67(4)°; Z = 4; R = 0.103. Sie zeigt den Aufbau des Moleküls aus dem tetraedrischen Cluster (CO)9Co3C sowie der Chloro-bis(cyclopentadienyl)titanoxy-Gruppe. Abstände und Winkel um das Titanatom sind gegenüber der Ausgangsverbindung (C5H5)2TiCl2 fast unverändert
