Infrared spectroscopic evidence for thiothionyl chloride and bromide in argon matrices at 9 K

Abstract

The VUV photolysis during the deposition of the disulfur dihalides CISSCI and BrSSBr diluted in argon results in the formation of the isomeric thiothionyl halides. The observed frequencies are assigned according to pyramidal Cs symmetry.
