Untersuchungen an Zink-Sublimationskristallen

Zinc crystals grown by sublimation in air, in argon or in vacuo show stacks of plates parallel to the hexagonal basal plane. By direct microscopic and by interferometric measurement the thickness of these plates is shown to vary from 2  down to less than 200 A.
