Studies in gelation of silicic acid and the products obtained in the metathesis of sodium silicate and chlorides of iron and chromium

Summary

The minimum times of set of the gels obtained by the interaction of sodium silicate with iron and chromium chlorides have been found to be obeying the following equation 1/t=Ae Bc Minimum times of set of pure silicic acid also obey the same equation.

Die minimalen Erstarrungszeiten für Gele, die bei Wechselwirkung von Natriumsilikat mit Eisen- und Chromchloriden erhalten wurden, gehorchen der folgenden Gleichung: 1/t=A·e B·c Das ist dieselbe Gleichung, die auch reine Kieselsäuregele erfüllen.
