Experimental constraints on the phase in the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik C Particles and Fields

Abstract

Using experimental results on |V ub /V cb |, ε(K0), χ(B0) and two experimental limits onm t , and assuming that these five observations are fully described by standard physics, we determine values and errors for the two CKM matrix parameters ρ and η with a maximum-likelihood fit. The results depend strongly onf B ; (ρ, η) lies in the first quadrant forf B >180 MeV and in the second forf B <180 MeV. As functions off B , we present also values and errors onm t , δ13, |V td |, arg(V td ), and ΔM(B s )/Γ(B s ).
