Summary

It has been demonstrated that colourless leuco-methylene blue is oxidised back quantitatively to the original dyestuff, by various oxidising agents. The methods for the estimation of potassium chromate, potassium persulphate, potassium periodate, ferric iron, sodium and hydrogen perioxide have been worked out by estimating the oxidised leuco-dye with chromous sulphate.
