Summary
A method for the preparation of immobilized thiophene-, pyrrole-, furancarbonamide and thiophene-2-acetic acid amide on silica is described. This supporting material shows complexing affinity for Hg(II) and Pd(II). The potential of the resulting immobilized compounds as stationary phases in high-pressure liquid chromatography is illustrated by using this material for the separation of organic substances like phenols and herbicides.
