A study of the reaction12C(π +,π + +p)11B

Abstract

We have measured the cross section for the reaction12 C(π +,π ++p)11B in a coincidence experiment with an incident pion energy of 100 MeV and find that the residual11B nucleus remains predominantly in the ground state. A test of the nucléon charge exchange model by Hewson [3] is discussed.
