Nuclear radii of16O and18O

Abstract

The muonic 2p-1s transitions in16O and18O have been measured with a Ge detector, with the 3d-2p transitions of Cl as reference line. Therms radii of18O and16O differ by 3.5±0.8 per cent as compared with 4.0 per cent according to the A1/3 law.
