Abstract
A preliminary investigation of the decay of139I was made at the TRISTAN on-line mass separation facility using a negative-surface ionization source. Over 100 new γ rays are assigned to the decay of139I. The level scheme for the low-lying structure of139Xe supports a g.s. spin of 3/2−.
