Dermatoglyphics in the Bushmen

Abstract

Analysis of the dermatoglyphics of a sample of Kung Bushmen living in the Kalahari of north-east Namibia is presented, and the results are compared with those of other Bushmen studies. A high frequency of arches, a low ridge count, and high frequencies of pattern reduction forms, appear characteristic.
