Conclusion
19 years ago, an American Zoologist (11) hypothesized that the genetic code was structured in such a way as to oppose maximum resistance to mutation effects. At the time it seemed scandalous to introduce mathematics into the expression of Life: it was the devil in the font of the primitive soup!
Beyond the pragmatic assertations of Biologists, who refuse to describe any more of the genetic coding than the physicochemical combination of the elements constituting Life, as in Giovanni Battista TIEPOLO's famous drawing: ‘the kitchen’, it is possible, using information and coding theories, to discover laws that, because they are more general, are more fundamental. This new view allow us to understand why the different amino acid assignements to the codons do not occur at random, but on the contrary, in such a way as to preserve as intact as possible the information that is stocked, transmitted, regulated and executed.
