Presentación de un caso y revisión de la literatura Colombiana

Abstract

The ninth colombian case of Lobomycosis is presented, along with a review of the Colombian literature. The clinical, histopathological, and mycological aspects are summarized emphasizing the peculiar birefringent appearance of Lobomyces when examined under polarized light.

Resumen

Se presenta el noveno caso colombiano de Lobomicosis junto con una revisión de la literatura nacional. Los aspectos histopatológicos se revisan y se describe la peculiar apariencia del Lobomyces bajo la luz polarizada. Se intenta delimitar la ‘reservárea’ colombiana.
