Summary

A review is given on the use of numerical taxonomic methods in cultivated plants. Up till now these methods have been applied to cultivated plants only to a limited extent.

A more thorough study of the theory of numerical taxonomy seems necessary. Some possibilities of application of numerical taxonomic methods to cultivated plants are briefly discussed.
