Abstract

The quantity-intensity (Q/I) relationships of labile K in soils of two long-term experiments receiving contrasting K fertilizer treatments were determined for surface and sub-surface soils. The Q/I curves were visually superimposable, their shape being unaffected by K treatment. Buffering capacity for K and quantity of K fertizer applied were negatively correlated.
