Abstract
Aqueous Teucrium polium extract slightly inhibits the growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Ki=0.029 [g/l]-1) and Yarrovia lipolytica (Ki=0.061 [g/l]-1). However, this extract causes important changes in the unsaturation degree (Δ/mol) of the cellular lipids. It moreover favours the increase of the linolenic acid concentration and the decrease of the oleic one in both species.
