Deformation of quasiharmonic crystals

Abstract

In the quasiharmonic approximation, the phonon Green's function of crystal deformation is determined and the dependence of the frequency on the deformation is found. The results obtained are applied to the description of isothermal and adiabatic elastic moduli.
