Addition of nitroalkanes to benzylideneaniline

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Nitroalkanes have been added on to benzylideneaniline.

  2. 2.

    Analysis of the infrared and UV spectra of the synthesized compounds revealed that addition takes place at the C=N bond with formation of C-nitroamines.
