Conclusions
An investigation of the composition and crystallization of pigmental and metallurgical chromic oxide showed that the crystal size of the pigmental chromic oxide increases during roasting.
In a study of the influence of the kiln atmosphere on the sintering process of chromic oxide it was established that the presence of an absorber of oxygen from the kiln atmosphere promotes sintering in open-flame and other industrial type kilns.
An analysis was carried out of the grinding kinetics of chromic oxide as a factor in the sintering of specimens produced from the ground material.
