Abstract
We compute the first-order quantum corrections to the spin-wave spectrum and the spin-spin correlation function, for the spin component perpendicular to the easy plane, of an easy-plane two dimensional ferromagnet. Our results show that the classical approximation is inadequate at low temperatures.
