Relazioni fra i fenomeni sismici e le manifestazioni vulcaniche nel Mar Egeo e nella Grecia orientale

Riassunto

Premessi brevi cenni sui vulcani nuovi della Grecia e sugli affioramenti vulcanici del mar Egeo e della Grecia orientale, l'Autore, in base ai dati micro e macrosismici di alcuni terremoti avvenuti durante gli anni 1928–1945, afferma trattarsi di sismi magmatici. Dallo studio delle distribuzioni degli epicentri e delle condizioni sotto le quali ebbero luogo detti sismi, si deduce una relazione fra l'attività sismica e quella vulcanica, concludendo che i fenomeni studiati sonc una prova della continuazione delle azioni magmatiche verificantisi nell'interno delle regioni esaminate.

Summary

After some hints on the new volcanoes of Greece and volcanic afflorescences of the Egeus sea and eastern Greece, the Author, after the micro and macroseismical data of some earthquakes occurred during the years 1928–1945, asserts that they belong in the category of magmatical earthquakes. From the study of conditions and disposition of the epicenters, he deduces a relation among the seismical and volcanic activities, and infers that the studied phenomena are the proof of the duration of magmatical actions in the interior of the examined countries.
