Radioprotective effects of cyproterone acetate

Summary

The pretreatment of irradiated mice by cyproterone acetate had a better radioprotective effect in comparison with orchidectomy, although the weight of the thymus was lower in the cyproterone acetate group. The radioprotective mechanisms involved in both cases were discussed.
