Summary

The author made a first attempt to utilize an artificial radioactive isotope for the production of localized biological radiation-effects, by means of intraperitoneal injections of radiozinc (Zn63) suspended in a solution of pectine. Experiments were performed on mice and rabbits and the procedure was applied, for the purpose of preliminary therapeutic investigations, to a case of carcinoma of the ovary with severe peritoneal extension.
