Abstract
Studies are reported of the thermoluminescent response of CaSO4:Dy to UV up to high exposures (9.6*106 J m-2) and sensitisation of the phosphor by pre-exposure to UV followed by annealing. The growth of the glow curve structure with UV exposure is shown. The TL glow curve exhibits a peak at 210 degrees C up to 103 J m-2. Peaks at lower temperatures are not seen as these are unstable and fade at room temperature.
