Abstract
Spatial absorption density distributions are reconstructed from simulated sequential transmission scans at multiple angles utilizing computer approximation techniques. A quantitative measure of the relative variance of the reconstructed density map is obtained, and the component due to Poisson statistics is shown to be in agreement with a theoretically derived function.
