Abstract

Reports results obtained by both the ratio method and the single detector method, using X-rays generated both at constant potential and from a self-rectified unit. The agreement between the two methods is excellent for X-rays from both types of generator, indicating that the assumption in the ratio method is valid when the precautions discussed in this note are taken.
