Abstract

With use of SU(4) as a spectrum-generating group, the radiative decay rates of the charmed vector mesons and of J(ψ) are calculated. With the known decay rates of the "old" mesons Γ(ωπγ), Γ(ϕηγ), Γ(ρπγ), and Γ(K0*K0γ) as input, one obtains Γ(K+*K+γ)=2.6 keV, Γ(ωηγ)=220 eV, Γ(ρηγ)=4.8 keV, Γ(ψχγ)=1.6 keV, Γ(D0*D0γ)=350 eV, and Γ(D+*D+γ)=22 eV.
