Abstract

The conjecture of a possible narrow D-wave resonance of the ΩΩ¯ system is extended to general baryon-antibaryon systems. On the basis of the well-known NN forces one finds that BB¯ systems bound by pion forces are more likely to produce narrow resonances. In particular one may expect narrow resonances below the NN¯, ΛΛ¯, and perhaps even the ΞΞ¯ thresholds. A narrow BB¯ resonance may serve in a second step (similar to the α particle) to explain the narrow ψ and ψ.
