High energy scattering from a bound nucleon: Unitarity and closure approximation

Abstract

The scattering of high energy hadrons from nuclei is treated in a generalized closure approximation for inclusive cross sections which takes into account some Fermi motion and binding potential effects. The consistency with unitarity is demonstrated.
