Abstract

We have accurately measured the total-conversion coefficient for the 156.0-keV, M4 transition in Sn117 as αT=46.40±0.25. The Hager and Seltzer theoretical value is 47.8. A comparison between experimental and theoretical αK and αT values for 15 E3 and M4 transitions shows that the theoretical values are systematically 2-3% higher.
