Summary
A new method for determination of N,N′-dimethylformamide in air samples has been developed by which ppb quantities can be determined. The air sample is drawn through two wash bottles, filled with water, and the amide is adsorbed quantitatively. Then the absorption solution is chromatographed on a column with carbowax 20 M on carbopack B. The quantitation is performed by a flame ionisation detector.
