Summary

The presence of 5-Hydroxytryptamine, entero-glucagon and insulin in the developing chick duodenum is demonstrated. High levels of enteroglucagon and insulin were found during early embryonic life, enteroglucagon and insulin were found to persist at low levels after hatching.
