The influence of inplane deformation on the buckling loads of isotropic elastic plates

Summary

The paper deals with buckling of isotropic, homogeneous elastic plates of constant thickness and shows that the effect of inplane deformation is of the same order of magnitude as the shear effect. The two effects should therefore be considered together.
