ISPRS calls for an Organiser of the 2027 Geospatial Week
The ISPRS Geospatial Week (GSW) is a combination of workshops organised by various ISPRS Working Groups and possibly other parties active in the areas of interest of ISPRS and is convened by a local organiser, led by the GSW Director, at a common location. The GSW is held biennially in odd years, preferably in the September/October timeframe. The first one was organised in Antalya in 2013; the next one will take place in Dubai from April 6 to 11, 2025.

The Fritz Ackermann Award – Best Paper 2023 announced
Model-based constraints for trajectory determination of quad-copters: Design, calibration & merits for direct orientation, by Kenneth Joseph Paul, Davide Antonio Cucci, and Jan Skaloud, has been selected from papers published exclusively in the ISPRS Open Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing as the winner of the 2023 Best Paper. It will be included in the final selection for the newly established Fritz Ackermann Award, to be presented at the 2026 ISPRS Congress in Toronto.

Dr. Shailesh Nayak, Fellow, ISPRS receiving Government of India’s highest civilian recognition, ‘Padma Shri’ from the President of India, on May 9, 2024.
ISPRS Fellow Dr. Shailesh Nayak, currently a Director, National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), India, in recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of Science and Engineering, the Government of India honoured him with the highest civilian honour of India, 'Padma Shri' in 2024. This prestigious award is presented to him by the President of India for distinguished service.
