Comment:
Optode microprofiling device from PreSens GmbH (Germany, www.presens.de) with an Automated Micromanipulator (AM), needle-type optodes for measurements of oxygen (PM-PSt7) and pH (PM-HP5). Temperature was measured with HOBO Pendant© Temperature/Light Datalogger. Salinity was measured with a handheld refractometer. Light data PAR was received from nearby weather-station; light sensor unknown.
Oxygen and pH were measured in the water column at a distance of 2-cm from the sediment surface. Oxygen measurements are temperature compensated.
