Ongoing development of a computer jobstream to predict helicopter main rotor performance in icing conditionsWork is currently underway at the NASA Lewis Research Center to develop an analytical method for predicting the performance degradation of a helicopter operating in icing conditions. A brief survey is performed of possibilities available to perform such a calculation along with the reasons for choosing the present approach. A complete description of the proposed jobstream is given as well as a discussion of the present state of the development.
