Abstract
GENERALLY, the immunoglobulins are considered to be the most basic proteins of all known animal sera and they have, at pH 8.6, the slowest electrophoretic mobility. While investigating the serum of the lamprey (Petromyzon marinus L.) we found in the gamma globulin region an iron (iron-59) binding protein1.
