Abstract

We present here a theoretical study of the nonlinear effect arising from one- and two-photon absorption-induced self defocusing in liquids. Experimental results demonstrate power limiting of 10ns, 532 nm laser pulses by linear and two-photon absorption in concentrated solutions of platinum poly-ynes.
