Summary

  1. 1.

An apparatus is described for the measurement of sorption by the volumetric method. It is simple to construct and enables sorption[on measurements to be made with high accuracy.

  2. 2.

The optimum dimentions of a quartz spiral a sorption balance have been calculated. The calculations show that the accuracy of weighing can be increased not so much by reduction in the thickness of the thread, as by increase in the radius of a turn of the spiral
