Abstract
THE sensitivity of immunoassays is probably decreased by endogenous antigenic material blocking some of the antibody binding sites1. To remove antibodies generated against polypeptide hormones from endogenous antigenic material derived from the immunised animals, we took advantage of the capacity of sodium iodide to break the antigen–antibody bond.
