Abstract
We report on first attempts for selective action on nucleic acid components, namely uracil and adenine, using picosecond light pulses. Selective action was achieved both in the case of irradiation of mixtures of bases and in the case of irradiation of mixtures of different nucleic acids components, which contain uracil and adenine.
