Production of Extracellular lipases by Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Abstract

Seven strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae all produced lipase when grown in shake flask culture. The best strain, DSM 1848, produced 4.0U of lipase in the medium containing olive oil and yeast extract. Production of the lipase was growth-associated.
