Abstract
On Pd/γ-Al2O3 toluene undergoes reforming reaction with CO2 to give benzene and syngas at 1 atm and 400–500 °C. Among the promoters cerium oxide shows improved selectivity and activity compared to other rare earth oxides. Based on the catalytic runs and TPR experiments, the mechanism of the reaction is proposed.
